Gerard Farres Guell (ESP) and co-pilot Diego Ortega Gil (ESP) of Can-Am Factory South Racing, has taken the lead in Stage 7 in the SSV Class, but in the general ranking they sit in second place with their team mates Autin Jones (USA) and Gustavo Gugelmin (BRA) currently holding position 1 with a 6 minute lead.

Unfortunately, South African racers, Geoff Minnitt (ZAF) and Siegfreid Rousseau (ZAF) has withdrawn from the competition.
