Anthony Radetic

Some people choose to live life on the edge, but not many take it to the level of Anthony Radetic. For years that hunger for the ultimate adrenaline rush was fed by jumping out of planes and piloting Blackhawk helicopters in the United States Army.

A 2004 motor vehicle accident took the use of Radetic’s legs from him abruptly changing the course of his life, but it did little to quell the thrill-seeking spirit that has defined him his entire existence. Since his accident Radetic has relentlessly continued his pursuit of the ultimate adrenaline rush through the likes of hand cycling and as a member of the U.S. Development ski team. But nothing has fed his soul quite like living the Sea-Doo Life.

“I’m an active guy, so I’m always trying to find something exciting to do,” Radetic said.

Today, the 40-year-old Dayton Beach native resides in Abbeville, Ala., with his family of four taking in everything the Sea-Doo Life has to offer. From heart pounding pro watercraft racing, to camping trips by water, there’s nothing the Radetic family doesn’t do full-throttle.

How did your interest in PWCs start? I have always been a thrill seeker and an adventurous person. After being injured I had to find something to fill that void that was missing in my life. Having a passion for water and things that go fast like a motorcycle, watercraft was a pretty natural transition for me.

What are your favorite activities on the water? Kitesurfing, Surfing, Tow-Foiling and now Wakeskating! I basically love everything to do with the ocean!

Who makes up your typical riding crew? My wife and two kids. We make it a family event.

Favorite place to ride? Lake Eufaula (Alabama) – Man made reservoir covering nearly 46,000 acres with 640 miles of scenic shoreline featuring 3 state parks and wildlife refuge.

Dream place to ride? Alaska

Describe your perfect day on the water: We load up the LinQ cooler and pack camping gear in the front storage compartment of the Sea-Doo. Ride out to a nice secluded spot with the family where we can spend the night and enjoy the water.

Describe your life away from the water: I am a pretty active person and try to work out every day; running, crossfit, etc; basically, anything where I can move my body. I also love to create content, so time spent away from the water is usually editing or getting geeky within the Adobe suite. I also grew up skiing and competed throughout college. So, in the winter, I spend a chunk of my time in the mountains!

What’s your one must-have accessory for your Sea-Doo? The sound system is a definite must now!

What’s one innovation you’d like to see on a Sea-Doo that doesn’t currently exist? I'm such a fan of the LinQ system, I would like to see more accessories like a rack option.

Favorite place to eat? Our local ice cream shop (or maybe any ice cream shop).

First artist you add to your play list? No question: AC/DC

Celebrity or person you’d most like to ride with? The one celebrity I think would be a great ridding buddy would be Lewis Hamilton. Obviously, he has no problem going fast, plus having reflexes of a cat would be an ideal skill set for a high speed ride on a RXT-X 300.
